Stage 1: Paper-I Exam Pattern

Paper-I is a screening test designed to check your speed and basic knowledge.

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

  • General Engineering: 100 Questions (100 Marks)

Stage 2: Paper-II Exam Pattern

Paper-II tests your deep technical knowledge. Note: This is now an Online Objective test (it is no longer a descriptive written exam).

  • Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test)
  • Type: Multiple Choice Questions (Objective)
  • Subject: General Engineering (Specific to your chosen discipline)
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer.

Scoring Breakdown (300 Marks Total)

  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 300 (Each question is worth 3 marks)

Key Points to Remember

  • No Interview: There is no interview round. Selection is based purely on your marks from Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Accuracy Matters: Be careful with negative marking, especially in Paper-II where the penalty is higher (1 mark).
